Teaching

In 2020, I became the acting instructor for one of the larger undergraduate social science classes on the Berkeley campus, Food and the Environment. The same year I designed and taught a new course for the curriculum on the history of fossil fuels and economic development.

I have been awarded both University of California Berkeley’s Social Science Division Distinguished Teaching Award and the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award.

I have taught seven times as the acting instructor of a course. I have also assistant taught: Theories of Classical Political Economy, Introduction to Development/Global Studies, and Economic Geography of the Industrial World.
